How to book

Prior to start of the Festival
tickets can be booked
• in person at the Box Office at Oxford Playhouse, Beaumont Street, Oxford OX1 2LW until Sunday 30 March at 4 pm
• by telephone 0870 343 1001 until Sunday 30 March at 4 pm
• online www.ticketsoxford.com (24hr booking) from Monday 28th January until Monday 31 March at 10 am
• NB No fax bookings can be accepted
• Oxford Playhouse Box Office opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm.

Please note that postal bookings MUST be posted by Saturday 8 March and will only be accepted up to and including Wednesday 12 March

Tickets will not be available for sale between 10 am on Monday, 31 March and 5 pm on Monday, 31 March

Tickets will not be available for collection between 10 am on Monday, 31 March and 5 pm on Monday, 31 March, when the Festival Box Office in the Marquee at Christ Church opens.

In order to facilitate the transfer of ticket sales from the Oxford Playhouse to the Festival Box Office, we need to suspend sales and collections for this period. Please ensure therefore that you book your tickets as early as you can.

Monday 31 March: 5 pm- 8 pm
Tuesday 1 April: 9.30 am – 8 pm
Wednesday 2 April: 9.30 am – 7 pm
Thursday 3 April: 9.30 am – 8.30 pm
Friday 4 April: 9 am – 8 pm
Saturday 5 April: 9 am – 6 pm
Sunday 7 April 9 am – 6 pm

Immediately prior to events
Any remaining tickets will only be on sale at the Festival Box Office in the Marquee at Christ Church—or on the door, if at a different venue.

Disabled access: please check with the Box Office for each event.

Children’s Events: ticket prices shown are for children and adults, There are no concessions. Children under 2 years: admission free.

Children under 13 years must be accompanied by an adult (aged 18 or over); the Festival cannot accept responsibility for the safety of unaccompanied children. Children over 13 cannot be responsible for younger children, although they may attend events alone as long as they are taken to and collected from the specific event venue.

Concessions and discounts (adult events and walks only)
• Concessions of £1.00 per ticket are offered to full-time students (with valid photo ID), senior citizens (60 years plus), children (18 years and under), unwaged and companions to disabled persons.
• Friends of the Festival receive a £1.50 concession on tickets to adult events and walks, up to a maximum of 5 tickets.
• Book tickets for 5 or more events in the same transaction and get a 15% discount. Dinners, lunches and teas are not included in this offer.
Schools and youth groups get a concessionary rate of £1 off, plus 1 in every 15 tickets free.
Book Group Discount. Book and writers groups making a group booking of 8 people or more for any one event, may receive the concessionary rate of £1 off each ticket.
• no reductions on children's events, Festival Dinners, lunches and teas.
• Note: Only one reduction applies per ticket.

Please note that not all concessions are available online.

Event numbers can be found next to each event entry.

• Unless otherwise stated, events last approximately one hour and panel discussions approximately 75 minutes .
• The Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival reserves the right to alter the programme or substitute writers, if circumstances so dictate.
• Tickets are not refundable and cannot be exchanged.

All tickets* booked by telephone or online, until Thursday 20 March will be sent by post to the patron. For tickets where ID is required, please make sure that you have your ID with you at the event as you will be required to show it before entry.

A £1.50 handling charge is added to the total cost of your order for all credit/debit card bookings, plus 50p for tickets to be posted*.

Please do not fill in an amount, but state only an upper limit at the very top of your cheque.
